Belmond Beckons. New London Opening

If Belmond hotel group didn’t already epitomise luxury, its recent takeover by LVMH will now totally ensconce it amongst its super brands family. The eagerly anticipated Belmond Cadogan Hotel is opening imminently and is set to steal the hearts of seasoned travellers, small high-end events and lovers of boutique, intimate and classic hotels. With just 54 rooms & suites, intimate event spaces and F&B courtesy of celebrated London chef of the moment, Adam Handling. Its promises a heady fix of Belmond style, exquisite detail and impeccable service. With two recent hard-hat client visits, we’ve had a sneak peek and the hotel is looking mighty fine!

A Classic in Cambridge

A Fan of Dubai? Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah Beach

Another luxury hotel in Dubai! We explored all contenders for the top crown in 2017, and thought Jumeirah Al Naseem took the title at the time. However, we’re getting excited by the new Mandarin Oriental. It has secured a prime spot on Jumeirah Beach for its first Dubai opening. The six restaurants run from Japanese steakhouse Netsu to the first opening outside Portugal for José Avillez of Lisbon’s double Michelin-starred Belcanto. Located in one of Dubai’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, the resort’s spacious rooms and suites enjoy a luxurious, contemporary feel with stunning city or ocean views. Scheduled to open Q1 2019.

Revamp of an Icon. Raffles Singapore

Currently closed for restoration with a planned reopening in the middle of 2019, the grande dame of Singapore and world iconic hotels will re-open. Raffles Singapore will see the Long Bar return to its original location, newly restored and serving the Singapore Sling experience once again. Opened in 1887, Raffles Singapore is one of the few remaining great 19th century hotels in the world. Many years back, we orchestrated Raffles as a perfect gala dinner venue to culminate a Singapore incentive stopover en route to Bali. The event was a huge success and we look forward to returning to see this shining revamp of a classic hotel.

Re-Bonding in Jamaica .... GoldenEye

Okay .. this is a recycled blog. But a worthy one. As this celebrity hideaway continues to win great acclaim, recently retaining a spot in the 2019 Conde Nast Gold List, we re-post our musings about the glorious hotel for super exclusive buyouts and top class incentives. It began with a holiday retreat for Ian Fleming where all the Bond novels were penned, briefly owned by Bob Marley, it now remains in the hands of music legend Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records. It has grown since our visit a few years back but it has retained its super special qualities. A stunning location, amazing staff and fascinating history with Fleming and former hotel guests. A magical discovery.

La Ferme Du Lac Vert is a boutique hotel/ski chalet in Morzine, the heart of the French Alps.
